In 1972, my aunt, “Mamma Ninfa” opened her first restaurant on Navigation Street in Houston, Texas. Little did Ninfa know that she would have a tremendous impact on her entire family. It’s why in 1992, I decided to open Miguel’s Mexican Café in Tampa – to offer the same, home-made, authentic Mexican food that my Aunt Ninfa inspired me with so many years ago. Because of Ninfa’s impact, food isn’t just about food – it’s about bringing family and loved ones together. The idea of using food to commemorate special occasions is something that I still carry with me today, as the proud owner of Miguel’s Mexican Seafood and Grill.
